RIFA artist in residenceSEA from 11 November till 23 December 2013 
RIFA is an alternative/indie project that is largely presented by electronic music. From experimental genres as IDM, glitch, trip-hop through danceable rhythms to dub tracks with samples of all kinds such as movie quotes but also rapped numbers (Der Randamplan) with mainly socio-critical statements. Often in mystical, dark apocalyptic mood. Because of these different styles of music, different pseudonyms like: Timon Sampla, elecTroTseTung, not used rooms or brian shank ́s (Collaboration with UK- Rapper Curtiss Cobane) are used. Further alone, but also in extended sessions with other artists, very informal spontaneous rock and pop numbers, with English lyrics and melancholic spoken poetry and sung dialect texts, arise. To associate this music with visual elements and to mark the addition of visual statements is still in the “infancy” but is already showing very well the unique “dirty” style of cross-genre projects. Here experiments with green-screen and stop-motion technique, with optical feedback, and self- animated gadgetry are on the agenda. Various pros and artists of different areas are involved in this process of creativity. To finalize some of the current works some time and the right place is required.
