Stephanie Felber a performance artist working with choreography, dance, and photo-videography.and Ludger Lamers dancer and choreographer will collaborate on the research of what is performativity in our everyday life and interact with the local community in Heraklion. The performativity in daily life and in particular in the central zones of the city, attracts Stephanie curiosity since almost a decade. Especially conscious and unconscious productions of postures and gestures that have communicative functions in social and political contexts and also appear as a personal signature are part of a specific interest.
At ResidenceSEA they will produce a video with a choreographic structure of domestic movements in public space.
The research will focus on different questions like: What movement repertoires, qualities, expressive forms, styles and energies/ dynamics are characteristic in contemporary everyday in-between events? Which choreographic systems in daily activities are taking place? How can we transform it? How do we make a choreographic order in our own environment or in a private room? How does space and social action oscillate? Which practices of the everyday actions can we observe? Which everyday routines can we observe? What spatial and temporal structures can we find in everyday life? What references of bodies in space and time, can we observe in everyday life? What knowledge resources do we use in our everyday movements? Which movement patterns do we use? Which rituals can be found in everyday movements?
