From today and for the following two weeks ResidenceSEA will be hosting 3 Artists living in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
LOLO & LAUTI is an artist duo from Argentina working together since 2011 and Rodrigo Moraes is an art director and film maker from Uruguay.
LoLo & Lauti will work together in Heraklion for two weeks in collaboration with Rodrigo Moraes documenting and datascasping
the psychogeographic perception of their surroundings.
LoLo & Lauti work with communities, pre-existing or made-up. Their project is about an archival/participatory piece comprised of text, audio and video to create a trans-media storytelling installation. They will work on the history and social technology of the site and the people who live and work there. They like to be involved in everyday tasks to capture the performative essence of the specific types of labour in that area, documenting the social choreography of the ordinary. They will experiment with local folklore, nature and traditions.
LoLo & Lauti are also open to collaborate with resident artists and communities in Heraklion.
You are welcome to meet the artists at the ResidenceSEA and participate on their project that will be presented on the 2th of October 2015 at the ResidenceSEA.
The artists statement: “We find narrative and storytelling in the real world: We believe there is nothing more fantastic than non-fiction, that the world we live in, is the ultimate participatory installation. We use performance to address relations and how these are shaped by technology, especially the Internet.”…
